ISTE Conference Highlights

The 2015 International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference in Philadelphia last week drew more than 14,000 attendees from all over the world. The four-day event included interactive workshops, product demos, and presentations on the latest digital innovations for learning and teaching. A welcome addition to this year’s conference was the presence of a dedicated group of organizations focused on increasing home access to the Internet for students. EveryoneOn was joined by Kajeet, as well as Sprint, who is making a big push to reach educators and connect students through their ConnectED offer.

We met several educators and administrators who expressed their frustrations with the opportunity gaps faced by students who aren’t connected at home. We were delighted to present our platform of low-cost offers and learn more about the exciting technology initiatives rolling out at schools across the country.

Also, EveryoneOn was able to host a birds-of-a-feather session on the third day of the conference titled: Connected Communities: A Holistic Approach to 1:1 Programs, which allowed us to raise awareness on the the need for home access and share best practices and potential solutions with educators.

As always, we are excited to attend and participate in events like ISTE. The ability showcase and raise awareness of our work to end the digital divide.
