Diana Figueroa, Digital Skills Instructor
Diana Figueroa joins Everyone On with 14 years’ experience in K-12 education and 10 years as an Adjunct Faculty member teaching Business Principles. She is a first-generation graduate who earned a Masters degree in Organizational Management, B.A in Organizational Leadership, and currently a Ph.D. Candidate working towards a Doctorate for Educational Technology.
Coming from a minority background Diana finds great passion serving under-resourced communities to reach higher levels of success. As a strong educational advocate, she believes the purpose of education aligns with an old Chinese proverb: learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.
Diana began her career as an outdoor education intern in 2011. She completed a 1-year internship at the Clemmie Hill School of Science and Conservation (SCICON) where she was responsible for the science instruction, student management, counselor supervision, and event logistics for 15,000 6th graders and 1,000 high school students during the year.
Her experience working with public, private, charter, and non-profit K-12 schools has allowed Diana the opportunity to work with a diverse population of English language learners, migrant families, special needs, and bipoc communities. She has been an advocate for implementing supplemental intervention technologies for ESL and supporting edtech apps for students when available.
Currently Diana continues to consult as a Director of Technology guiding K-12 schools, as well as continues to teach as a business professor for two universities aside of Everyone On. Her favorite hobbies are traveling, cooking, reading, and learning more about EdTech.
