Russell Hartley

Russell has over five years of professional communications and marketing experience working in nonprofits and government. Before EveryoneOn, he worked in the nonprofit sector where he focused on connecting free small business relief and resources to people across the state of Michigan, particularly in underserved communities. He has experience in email marketing, leading digital storytelling campaigns, managing social media strategies, and developing blogposts and website content.

Prior to his work with nonprofits, Russell held communications positions at state- and city-level government agencies in California and Texas. He recently served as a communications director in the California State Assembly where he worked on legislation relating to advancing social justice policies, increasing civic engagement and expanding access to higher education. Russell is currently pursuing his Masters of Science (M.S.) in Communication from Grand Valley State University which is where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in health communications. 

In his personal life, Russell spends his time meditating, playing basketball and learning about yet another method of making coffee.
