Thami Hastings
Senior Programs Manager, Milwaukee

Thami is responsible for the management of digital inclusion initiatives in the Milwaukee Metro Area, leading digital skills training programs for adult learners and capacity-building training for local community-based organizations that need support in that area, as well as making sure members of the community have access to devices and internet service.

For the past two years, Thami has been working on digital inclusion in Milwaukee, specifically with the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) adoption, providing information about ACP to over 800 residents through community outreach and events.

She has been part of the Advisory Techquity Council with United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County for the past two years, which gave her the chance to network with different nonprofit organizations that have the same goal: end the digital bridge in Wisconsin.

Born and raised in the northeast area of Brazil, Thami moved to the US in 2016 where she initially lived in Connecticut and Illinois, and has called Wisconsin her home for the past six years. Working with digital inclusion is her way of giving back to the community that took her in with open arms.

With over 10 years of experience in communications, Thami has a BA in Communications, and is now working towards her Masters in Communication & Media Studies with Marquette University, WI.
